  5. MenuMail is an unobtrusive paging and conferencing system for the Mac.  It consists of 3 parts : the MenuMail extension, the MenuMail Sender, an application, and MenuMail Prefs, a preferences file.

  7. I have made this system in my free time to serve the needs of the company I am working for.  Because it got such wide acclaim and because many 'outsiders' got interested, I have put it on the public network for further distribution.

  9. MenuMail is shareware : you get 4 user keys absolutely free, so you can test it out as much as you like.  You are allowed to distribute it further and share it with your collegues and friends.

  11. On my short term to-do list are :
  12. - background updating of the users and zones-lists
  13. - support for Apple Events
  14. - floating windows
  15. on a long term, maybe an integration with existing mail packages ?

  17. Your free keys are :

  22. Please read the manual on how to install them.  The enclosed MenuMail extension comes preset with a time-sensitive key installed, this key is valid up to 1 June 1993 : you can use it on any number of Macs.  After the expiration time, only the 4 free keys remain…

  24. You want to continue using MenuMail, just order new keys !  You are then also entitled to a the next major update of the program.
  25. Shareware fee :
  26.   $30, per set of 5 keys,
  27.   $300, for a site-licence (a single key with unlimited usage)
  28. Please send a cheque or paper currency (for smaller amounts, this reduces the high banking costs) to my address below.  You will get a fax, e-mail, postcard, … in your return-mail with the new keys.   The next major version of MenuMail will also be sent to you as soon as available.

  40. Remark.  If MenuMail has reached you via an electronic bulletin board, the sound in the About-box might not be present.  As it uses 80K, I've removed it to save space.
